Iliana Loupessis (she/her) is a recent MSc graduate in Digital Transformation and Innovation from the University of Ottawa and will be transitioning into a PhD Candidate under the supervision of Dr. Sonia Wesche. Her research focuses on sustainable digital transformation, the intersection of climate change adaptation, and the impact of digital tools on building community resilience.

Research Project:
National Indigenous Climate Compass (NICC)
Illiana is the main researcher on the National Indigenous Climate Compass (NICC), a collaborative project with Wiikwemkoong First Nation and Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation, exploring how the NICC and such tools can be developed and implemented in ways that respect Indigenous traditions and ensure communities are directly benefiting from these collaborations.
