Étudiante à la maîtrise
Paige Cincio is an M.Sc. candidate in the department of Geography, Environment, and Geomatics, co-supervised by Dr. Sonia Wesche and Dr. Andrew Medeiros (Dalhousie University). Paige completed her Bachelor's degree Water Sciences at Trent University, where her honours thesis explored benthic macroinvertebrate communities in freshwater lakes in Iqaluit, Nunavut to infer the effects of environmental change on aquatic ecology. Her Master's research examines drinking water security in Nunavut following a paleolimnological approach, which involves reconstructing the productivity of Small Fish Lake, Igloolik, to elucidate ecological responses to environmental change. Her research aims to understand the historical lake productivity and regional climate variability in Igloolik, to quantify the ecological trajectory of Small Fish Lake and infer its water security in future climate scenarios.
